Body and Paintwork

Book a Service

Scratches, dents, kerbed rims and stone chips are part of everyday driving. Repaired properly, with genuine parts and colour-matched paint, they leave no trace — and keep the anti-corrosion warranty intact.

For a Brilliant Finish

Autohaus Namibia handles dent and panel work and the paint that goes with it. Repairs use Volkswagen Genuine panels and a paint mix matched to your car’s exact colour code, carried out to a standard that preserves the anti-corrosion warranty.

  • Genuine panels and factory-spec paint, colour-matched from your paint code.
  • Repairs carried out so the anti-corrosion warranty stays valid.
  • Straightening and alignment checked, not just the visible surface.

Volkswagen Clever Repair® — small damage, small job

Clever Repair® treats localised damage in place, rather than replacing or repainting a whole panel — for up to around 80% less than a conventional smart repair. It covers small dents (paintless dent removal), scuffed bumpers and plastics, minor paint chips, stone chips and cracks in the glass, and tears or scuffs in fabric and leather trim.

FAQ on Body and Paintwork

Can I repair paintwork myself?

Small stone chips and light scratches — roughly up to 5–8 cm and not spread over a wide area of bare metal — can be touched up with a genuine colour-matched pencil. Anything larger, or damage to a whole panel, is a job for the body shop.

How do I use a touch-up pencil?

Clean and dry the area, shake or stir the paint, and build it up in thin coats, letting each dry. On a metallic or pearl colour, finish with a coat of the matching clear lacquer.

How long does the paint take to dry?

Allow about 20 minutes between coats, and avoid washing the car for about a week so the paint can harden fully.

Where do I find my paint colour code?

On the vehicle data sticker — usually in the boot or spare-wheel well, and repeated in the service book. Autohaus Namibia can also look it up from your VIN.

Paint Sprays and Touch-Up Pencils

Colour-matched to your car’s paint code, the touch-up pencil deals with small stone chips and light scratches before they can rust. Larger areas are covered by an aerosol spray in the same colour.

Find your paint code on the vehicle data sticker (in the boot or spare-wheel well and in the service book) — or ask us to look it up from the VIN.
